“We accelerate change to ensure a more sustainable future.
Building on our key technologies and our strong, innovative culture, we empower
our customers and our people to build a better world for this and coming generations.”
Our sustainability strategy
The sustainability strategy is divided into four main areas – caring, committed, circularity and climate - reflecting the environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues where we can contribute most by improvement.
Sustainable solutions
Our technologies within heat transfer, centrifugal separation and fluid handling enable responsible use of natural resources, reduced environmental impact on industrial processes, improved energy efficiency and heat recovery, better water treatment and reduced emissions. In other words, sustainability is at the core of our business.
Optimizing today, innovating for the future
The past few years have taught us many things, but perhaps the most important learning is that change is the only constant in our world. Alfa Laval is positioned to play an essential role in transforming the fossil economy into a sustainable, decarbonized, open and inclusive world. You can read more about our progress in sustainability in the sustainability chapter in our Annual Report.
Contribution to the UN Global Goals
The United Nations has adopted 17 Sustainable Development Goals for 2030, known as Global Goals, that world leaders have pledged to achieve. Cross-sector collaboration between civil society, academia and the business community is key to achieve these goals. Alfa Laval’s core business is strongly contributing to the achievement of many of the Global Goals.
Carbon neutrality by working together
Alfa Laval has long had a clear focus on reducing our carbon footprint, and it is now a cornerstone of our sustainability strategy.
